SUNSET SESSIONS

ART DIRECTOR @ APTOS LABS
SINGAPORE
OCTOBER 2025

PROJECT OVERVIEW
Sunset Sessions at RASA Space in Singapore was developed in collaboration with Refraction DAO as a hybrid cultural program—beginning with curated panel discussions and evolving into a late-night music experience with local and international DJs.
Role
The creative direction was grounded in point cloud scans of orchids from the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Rather than correcting the distortions and stitching errors inherent to this capture method, the visual system embraced them—leaning into fragmentation, compression artifacts, and digital “glitches” as aesthetic language.

Much like the nostalgia attached to film grain or VHS scan lines, these imperfections were treated as future-facing texture—suggesting that today’s digital noise may become tomorrow’s visual memory. The orchid scans were extended across event posters and promotional assets, then animated and reinterpreted as part of the nighttime AV system, transforming the data itself into an immersive layer of the club environment.
